Yamaha - 2013 Red ATV Models

Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A., is rounding out its utility ATV line with the addition of 2013 red utility ATVs produced at its Newnan, Georgia, manufacturing facility.

Red versions of Yamaha's popular utility ATV models should start arriving at dealers before the end of the year and include the Grizzly 700 FI EPS, Grizzly 550 FI EPS and Grizzly 450 EPS.

"Yamaha has strong demand from a variety of customer groups - including farmers and recreational users alike - for the red utility models, and we've seen our dealer partners ask for them this fall," said Steve Nessl, Yamaha ATV/SxS group marketing manager.

"All of Yamaha's 4x4 ATVs now come from its U.S. manufacturing facility in Georgia, which allows the company to respond more quickly to customer demands while also streamlining distribution. It's exciting to see that process in place."

All combined, Yamaha has one of the most complete lines of the toughest, most off-road capable utility ATVs including the top selling 650-799cc class utility ATV, the Grizzly 700*.

All of Yamaha's Grizzly 4x4 ATVs and Rhino Side-by-Side vehicles are produced at the Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation of America (YMMC) in Newnan, Georgia.

ATVs over 90cc are recommended for use only by riders 16 years and older. SxS Vehicles are recommended for use only by licensed drivers age 16 years and older.

We are fishing for big bull redfish off Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, Alabama. This fishing is in nice calm waters 1-2 miles off the beach where the wind is blocked by the shoreline and condos. We are catching big redfish weighing from 17 to 35 pounds on light spinning tackle. Watch a big bull redfish attack a curly tail grub or a topwater lure. It is just awesome.

Echo Calls' Rusty Creasey takes us through the steps of planting the perfect food plot. There's alot that goes into managing a club to hold as many mallards as possible and Rusty has definitely got it down. Any duck club worth it's salt will tell you that food is the key to holding ducks as well as attracting ducks to your club. Harvey's Duck Club takes that fact to the extreme by providing an abundance of rice through strategically placed food plots in and around their timber. It's amazing just how many birds will call this place their home during the wintering months.

Hunter Safety System - TreeStalker II

Hunter Safety System has always been known for its innovative designs in safety harnesses, and for 2013, HSS has continued this tradition with the complete redesign of the TreeStalker harness.

The new TreeStalker II has been reengineered to be lighter, safer and more comfortable than previous models-all without increasing the price.

By utilizing revolutionary smart fabrics that wick away moisture, maintain durability and reduce weight by up to 25 percent, the new Treestalker II is not only more comfortable, but it is also incredibly lightweight. For added comfort, this new harness features new Comfort-Touch edging around the neck area, and Right-Fit panels in the sides to allow the harness to comfortably expand for larger sizes, while remains snug and compact in the field.

While the TreeStalker II is lighter and more comfortable, most importantly, it is also safer. Designed with the new, thinner tether, the TreeStalker II reduces weight, yet it is stronger and provides more shock absorption during a fall than older models. As always, the patented Hunter Safety System of webbing eliminates dangerous dangling straps and weave-through buckles, and it is the easiest and most comfortable harness to put on, especially in the dark.

The new HSS TreeStalker II will be available in Realtree Xtra, one of the most innovative camouflage patterns available today. This new premium vest will be available at retailers with the same $99.99 suggested retail price as the original TreeStalker that it replaces.

Bama Outdoor Expo - Two Photo Contests

 GENERAL RULES

Entries may be made from 2:00 pm Friday to 6:00 pm Sunday.

The contests are open to amateur photographers only.

Judging will take place after the Expo ends.

1) TRAIL CAMERA PHOTO CONTEST RULES AND GUIDELINES:

Categories: 1) Deer/Bucks, 2) Deer/Other, 3) Turkeys, 4) Predators, 5) Miscellaneous.

Prizes to be announced shortly.

Trail Camera Contest Photo Guidelines, & Photo Judging

Guidelines are difficult here, because the subjects take the photos of themselves.  However, good camera placement will help you get better images and better backgrounds.  Be careful of objects (branches, leaves, etc.) in the foreground; they can show as white spots on photos taken in low light.  Set the camera at a distance its flash or infrared system can deliver enough lighting.  For deer, set the camera high and angle it downward; any light created will be less likely to go into the animal’s eyes and thus be less alarming.  Not all deer have equal sensitivity to a trail camera’s actions.

Remember that the fewer steps you take, the less scent you lay down.  Some hunters never get off their ATV.  It’s best to wear latex gloves when handling the camera to minimize your scent presence.

Judging?  We look for photos that show the subject well in an interesting setting/background.  Photos taken in daylight rank high; this means they were taken during shooting hours.  Photos from the middle of the night show you what’s there, and that you next must find how to see them in a shooting hours setting.

2) OUTDOOR PHOTO CONTEST RULES:

Five categories-- 1) Wildlife; 2) Flora; 3) Scenic; 4) People in the Outdoors; 5) Miscellaneous/Novelty.

Outdoor Contest Photo Guidelines, & Photo Judging

Photos will be judges with the following approach:  Rule of Thirds: - 1) overall composition, 2) framing, lighting, creativity of the topic, and 3) the photographic unit as a whole. All factors are important.

AWARDS

WINNER RECOGNITION
